Can't wait to celebrate books and libraries in Philadelphia!

Thank you for being here. The American Library Association Annual Conference is coming to Philadelphia from June 26-30.

I will be there Thursday through Sunday. I will be signing books and presenting.

• LIT Cafecito on Saturday, June 28, from 9-10:30 AM at Julia De Burgos’ Bookstore, we will have a Cafecito, which is a FREE informal gathering to bring Latinx creators, librarians, educators, and industry professionals together in community during ALA weekend. We will have snacks and beverages. We will also be giving away books. RSVP here.

• American Library Association (ALA) Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center from June 27-29

  • Saturday, June 28, from 4-5 PM, I will be giving away signed copies of my books, Platanos Are Love and Gloriana Presente, to conference attendees at the Latinx KidLit Book Festival Kiosk #819.

  • Sunday, June 29, at 10:30 AM, I am presenting at ALA about “Engaging Communities by Using Latinx Picture Books: Strategies for Developing Inclusive Library Outreach” on the Diversity in Publishing Stage (Booth 2411)

    • Discover effective strategies and tips for sparking conversations with communities using Latinx children’s books! Join author Alyssa Reynoso-Morris (Bold, Brilliant, and Latine) to learn about interactive techniques that will engage library patrons in conversations about our shared human experiences and create opportunities for cross-cultural empathy. Librarians will leave the session feeling empowered to use Latinx children’s books as tools to drive meaningful change in their communities in ways that will resonate with a broad audience.

  • Sunday, June 29, at 11:30 AM, I will be signing and giving away advanced reader copies of my upcoming book, Bold, Brilliant, and Latine (Booth 511)
